It's green and raining here in Swaziland. What a glorious picture to return to. While we were in the US the rains came nearly everyday. The crops are growing and the water reservoirs are filling up. Thank you to everyone who faithfully prayed for rain during this long and difficult drought.
Just a quick update on our time in the US. Aside from a few winter head colds and viruses we were able to get some much needed rest and spend time with family and friends. We saw snow for a few days which was a joy. We have become so accustomed to the warm weather it was quite an adjustment but a blessing none the less. We were able to share God's vision for the future with people and that was so exciting.
When we left Swaziland we had just pounded the stakes into the ground on the property. Construction started while we were away. It was exciting to see the progress from pictures but words will never be able to describe what we saw when we returned. I'm going to try none the less :)
A home. We saw a home. What was once just a what if is now becoming a reality. A home that will be a light in this community. A shelter for children who need to know the love of Jesus. They will know that they are not a mistake but a wonderful creation and worthy of all the love that we can give them.
What is our reaction to seeing the home? Digging deeper in His word. Praying harder. Believing just how big our God is. He created the universe. He moved us to Swaziland. He gave us opportunities to change peoples lives. He is building this house. We will continue to believe in a God who is bigger than anything we can ever imagine.
Will you continue to pray for us?
Pray that finances continue so there is no delay in building. Pray that God will compel the hearts of His people to join in this ministry to the Swazi people. Is that you? Your friend? Your small group? Your church? In the coming months we will be listing specific needs to continue the house with the first phase of the house. For the month of February the need is....
1. A secure fence around the house
3. Appliances and furnishings
4. Establish electricity to the property
To give towards these needs visit our Ministry Support page and designate it Buy a Block. You may give online or by mail.
We are resuming ministry through the local church. This weekend we are starting new curriculum with our men's and young ladies small groups. We will update you with stories and pictures in the next newsletter. Keep praying for breakthroughs and lives to be changed through the message of Jesus.
We love you all and are praying for you. Please email us with any prayer requests you have so we can be specific in our prayers for you.
Grace and Peace,
Justin and Jennifer
