We've been so busy with ministry projects that the year just seems to be going by so fast. New construction projects are starting in the Mgobodzi area this week. We will be starting a new CarePoint building for preschool and for the church to use on the weekends. Every time we visit this area we fall in love with it more and more. It's a great community with lots of great people. Be watching for updates of pictures here on the blog and on our Facebook.
God has been showing so much favor this year for His children. Already this year a teenage girl had surgery and the results came back with no cancer. I got to share that information with her this week and she is taking comfort in the Lord for His answers. In the next two weeks two children will be having much needed surgery on their eyes and legs. This is an answer to prayer on so many levels. Cooperation from the government hospital, their families, and the medical team to make this happen. Please be in prayer as we minister to these children and their families in the coming weeks. We also continue to do biweekly clinic at the CarePoints treating the sick children and doing their yearly wellness exams.
Each and every month we are still receiving donations for the completion of our new home. That is so encouraging. Many churches have committed to help raise support as well. When we return home this summer, we will be excited to see what God has done through so many people. Many of you have committed and sacrificed to send a donation. This month we wanted to share a story about a young girl. In her local church she prayed about what she could do to help and through Him did an amazing job.
With a poster board and pics, she wrote a few words to describe us. She made everything herself, and with a boldness stood in front of her church and presented what God had laid on her heart. At 10 years old, Sophie stood tall at the pulpit and presented her thoughts and prayers. When she asked for the church to help in donating towards the house, people were moved by her boldness. The last report we received from her mother is she raised $875! WOW! How blessed we are that this young lady was so courageous and spoke her heart. We look forward to seeing how God uses her in the future to further His Kingdom. From us we say thank you Sophie. Thank you to all who gave, and thank you to all who are committed to help us with this project. Visit our Ministry Support page and pray about how you would like to be involved with our ministry.
June 27th we will be returning back to the US for eight weeks. We will be sharing with friends and family about every thing that has been happening here in Swaziland. We will also be sharing how God is moving in our lives and what 2017 will look like for us. We will be sharing our schedule soon so you can plan to be at one of the many events we will be attending. We look forward to seeing you all really soon.
